CPL is an independent competitive league, not affiliated with or operated by Epic Games or Psyonix. Every player and team follows Epic's Terms of Service, the Rocket League EULA, and this rulebook. Breaking any of the three can get you removed from CPL, regardless of which one it was.

1,866+ MMR, peak MMR review enabled, alternate accounts must be verified.
Champion
1,575–1,865 MMR, peak MMR review enabled, alternate accounts must be verified.
Diamond
1,315–1,574 MMR, peak MMR review enabled, alternate accounts must be verified.
Platinum
≤1,314 MMR, peak MMR review enabled, alternate accounts must be verified.
Account requirements
Every player is scored on a hidden risk model built from playlist MMR, account history, and alternate accounts. It flags accounts for manual review, it doesn't auto-ban anyone.
- •All alternate accounts and their tracker links must be disclosed at signup.
- •Accounts under 1,000 total wins are flagged for review, not rejected outright.
- •Low ranked-playlist activity triggers additional review.
- •Flagged accounts alert the admin Discord channel.
- •Screenshot evidence may be requested and is stored for the season.
Teams & rosters
Roster composition
Up to 3 active players per team, plus one designated captain. The captain is the only player who can submit official match results.
Team identity
Teams register a name and an optional logo (PNG, JPG, or SVG) at signup. Logos show up in standings, match channels, and broadcasts.
Match format
- •One scheduled series per team, per week, for 7 weeks.
- •A private Discord channel is created for each series automatically.
- •Both teams, assigned casters, and production staff get added to the channel.
- •Match reminders go out automatically ahead of the scheduled time.
- •Channels archive automatically once a match is complete.
Match reporting
- •Captains report scores and replay links directly in the match channel.
- •A ballchasing.com replay link is required for every game in the series.
- •Replay parsing tracks goals, assists, saves, and shooting percentage automatically.
- •Disputes are resolved against replay evidence, not player testimony alone.
- •Admins can correct a reported score or overturn a result, with the change logged.
Conferences & standings
- •Conferences are generated automatically once signups close.
- •A division can hold multiple conferences, balanced automatically by team strength.
- •Standings are tracked separately per conference.
- •Conference realignment is available to admins between seasons.
- •Conference standing determines playoff qualification.
Roster locks & transactions
- •Rosters lock at the end of week 5, no changes after that point.
- •Teams get a maximum of 2 roster changes per season.
- •All roster transactions are logged automatically for audit purposes.
Waitlist
- •Teams can still register after signups officially close.
- •Late registrations go into the waitlist queue automatically.
- •Waitlisted teams are ordered strictly by signup timestamp.
- •A waitlisted team is promoted automatically if a registered roster drops before the season starts.
- •Promoted teams get an automatic Discord notification.
Discord integration
Discord runs registration, scheduling, reporting, and moderation for CPL.
Enforcement
- •Tracker violations open a moderation ticket in Discord automatically.
- •No-shows past the scheduling window default to admin review and may be ruled a forfeit.
- •Repeated violations can affect a team's standing or future signup eligibility.
- •Admin rulings are final unless overturned by league leadership.
FAQ
You can field a match with 2 players, but adding a replacement still counts against the season cap of 2 roster changes. Tell an admin before your next scheduled match.
